Packaging & Aesthetics

Reel vs. Who Gives A Crap Box

Reel:

As you can see, each roll is wrapped in translucent gray paper and has the Reel logo in white on the front (a lowercase “r”).  The back of the packaging of each roll has information about the Reel philanthropic efforts.

The outside of the box makes no mention of toilet paper specifically, but does say “reel, Life changing paper.

The inside of the box has a blue design and states “Sit down for what you believe in.” on the inner flap.

Overall, we would describe the Reel packaging and aesthetics to be simplistic and subtle.

Who Gives A Crap:

The rolls of Who Gives A Crap bamboo toilet paper are wrapped in various prints, all in hues of grey, white, gold and black.

The back of the rolls also varies – some are fun, and some are informational.

The outside of the box makes it very clear what’s inside.

Overall, we would describe the Who Gives A Crap packaging and aesthetic to be fun and playful.  However, the humor may not be for everyone.  The outside of the delivery box says “Nice bum!”.  Also, if you have kids and the word “crap” is considered a bad word in your house, then this may not be the product for you (as it’s pretty hard to avoid).

One special touch that Who Gives A Crap offers is “Emergency Rolls”.  In the box of 48, you get 3 Emergency Rolls of toilet paper wrapped in gold paper.  On the front, it says “EMERGENCY ROLL!! Uh oh.  Uh oh.  Uh oh.  You’re literally living life by the seat of your pants.  If you don’t order more toilet paper soon, there’s no telling what will happen.  Actually, we know – and it’s not pretty”.  On the back, it says “In case of emergency tear open wrapper.  But don’t be that person who forgets to order more.  Seriously.  There’s nothing worse than running out of toilet paper.  Nothing.”

Winner:  It Depends.  This one comes down to personal preference.  We consider the Reel packaging to be more subtle and serious, while we consider the Who Gives A Crap packaging to be flashier and less serious (i.e. more humorous).

Final Verdict | Reel Vs. Who Gives A Crap Bamboo Toilet Paper

Both Reel and Who Gives A Crap are good companies that offer bamboo toilet paper.  You really can’t go wrong with either brand in our opinion, but our favorite between the two is Who Gives A Crap.  It comes out to be cheaper per sheet.  Plus we love the added touches and splashes of fun like the  “Emergency Rolls” and different designs the toilet paper comes wrapped in.
