Does Disney’s Wilderness Lodge have a Playground? 2021

So you’re wondering if Disney World’s Wilderness Lodge resort has a playground?

Does Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort have a playground? 2021

Unfortunately, the answer is no.  The Wilderness Lodge does not have a playground.

Keep in mind, the Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is different than Ft. Wilderness.  And Ft. Wilderness does have a playground!

Things to do with Preschoolers at the Wilderness Lodge

Even though there’s not a playground, there are plenty of other ways to keep a preschooler or toddler entertained at Disney World’s Wilderness Lodge:

  • Swim in the pool or splash pad (resort guests only)
  • Watch the geyser erupt
  • Watch the waterfall
  • Walk to the boat dock
  • Look at the passing boats
  • Go on a boat ride (you don’t have to get off)
  • Walk around the outside of the resort – look at the plants, lizards, rocks etc. (and look for various animal tracks)
  • Walk around the inside of the resort – look at the various decorations and sights (totem poles, bridge, etc.)
  • Browse the gift shop
  • Eat a fun snack
  • People watch
  • Watch the Disney buses go by with the various characters on them
  • Make friends with other young kids
  • Take silly pictures

Note:  There is a walking path to Ft. Wilderness (which has a playground and lots of great outdoor activities), but the walking path was closed for renovation when we were there in Jan/Feb 2021.  There is also a boat (water taxi) that goes to Ft. Wilderness from Wilderness Lodge, but no guarantees it will be running!  It wasn’t running on our Jan/Feb 2021 trips.
