Does World's Best Cat Litter work in the Litter Robot

Does World's Best Cat Litter Work in the Litter Robot?

Yes, but…..

We found there are some nuances in using the World’s Best cat litter in the Litter Robot.

What we found:

All versions of the World’s Best cat litter are not created equal! Not all versions of the World’s Best cat litter work well in the Litter Robot

The Different Versions of World's Best Cat Litter

World’s Best Cat Litter comes in a variety of different versions. All versions of the World’s Best cat litter are clumping, made from natural, whole-kernel corn. Here’s a brief high-light of the differences:

The Orange Bag of World's Best Cat Litter does NOT work well with Litter Robot

We did some light research and read multiple places that World’s Best cat litter works well with the Litter Robot.

So we looked through the various options and decided to buy the World’s Best cat litter in the Orange bag. This is the one that appealed most to us, with it being unscented and low tracking with dust control. However, it didn’t take long to realize that the orange bag of World’s Best cat litter does not work well with the Litter Robot.

We went through a 15-pound bag of the World’s Best Low Tracking & Dust Control Multiple Cat Unscented litter (the Orange bag) in one week in our Litter RobotAccording to World’s Best, this bag of litter should have lasted 21+ days (for our 2 cats).

Why is this? We noticed that a lot of litter was wasted during every cycle. We were constantly having to add more litter. And when we went to empty the bottom of the Litter Robot, it was full with a lot of clean litter.

Our first sign that the orange bag of World’s Best cat litter is not compatible with the Litter Robot, was that when we first ran a cycle in setting it up, the bin in the Litter Robot was already showing 15% full, when there was absolutely no waste – we just ran a cycle.

We noticed the granules of the World’s Best Low Tracking & Dust Control Multiple Cat Unscented litter appeared to be too light to work in the Litter Robot appropriately. When the litter robot was turning, instead of falling through sifter, a lot of the litter would rotate up the side and not fall down in time for the cycle. This caused a lot of litter to be be wasted.

When we switched to the red bag of World’s Best, we noticed a huge improvement.

The RED Bag of World's Best Cat Litter DOES work well with Litter Robot

After our bad experience with the orange bag of the World’s Best cat litter and the Litter Robot, we decided to try the red bag – the Multiple Cat, Unscented World’s Best cat litter.

This resulted in a much better outcome. We can confirm the red bag of World’s Best cat litter works well with the Litter Robot.

Overall, we are very happy with the red bag of World’s Best cat litter (Multiple cats, unscented) cat litter for our two cats, in conjunction with our Litter Robot 4. We like that it clumps well (which is need for the Litter Robot), isn’t dusty and isn’t made of clay. Unlike with the orange bag, there is NO wasted litter with the red bag when we used with the Litter Robot. This is how the Litter Robot is intended, to minimize the waste of litter.

SUMMARY

Don’t be like us and assume that all versions of World’s Best Cat Litter works with the Litter Robot

They don’t.

The orange bag of World’s Best Cat Litter does not work with the Litter Robot! Although it’s appealing for the low tracking and dust control features, it simply wastes too much litter. Based on our experience, it appears that this happens because the orange bag of litter is too lightweight.

The red bag of World’s Best Cat Litter is the one you want if you’re looking for litter for the Litter Robot.
