Tushy is one of the best well-known brands when it comes to bidets. We’re not new to using bidets – like a good chunk of the population, we decided to get a bidet during the toilet paper shortage. Now, we’re giving the Tushy a try. Is it worth the hype? Keep reading for our full, honest review.

Bidets are extremely popular overseas, but are growing in popularity in the US. Most homes aren’t equipped with a stand-alone bidet, but we prefer the bidet toilet seat attachments anyway. This allows you to remain seated and spray yourself with water. Here are 5 reasons why we love bidets (specifically, the bidet toilet seat attachments):
1. Gets you cleaner
Using a bidet vs. toilet paper gets you cleaner. To illustrate, Tushy makes a great point on their site: “If a bird pooped on you, would you wipe it off with dry paper or would you wash it with water?”
2. Feels luxurious
Since bidets in the home are newer for most people and they were traditionally only found in very high-end homes or oversees, this gives using a bidet a luxurious feeling. Having this little taste of luxury every time we go to the bathroom makes every day a bit brighter.
3. Saves money on toilet paper
Having a bidet saves on toilet paper, thus saving money. When you use a bidet, you need far less toilet paper…only a square or two to dry off!
4. Better for the environment
One of the main reasons we’re such big proponents of the bidet is the positive impact it has on the environment vs. toilet paper. Manufacturing toilet paper takes a toll on the environment. We splurge for bamboo toilet paper to help mitigate our impact on the environment. But even though this is better than traditional toilet paper, we would argue that no (or less toilet paper) is even better.
5. Makes wiping kid’s butts easier
If you’re still on the “wiping kid’s butts” phase in your house like we are, we can attest that having a bidet makes wiping poopy butts much more manageable. Yes, it was a bit of a learning curve to get our then-two year old to feel comfortable with the bidet, but now it’s a normal part of the routine. We call it “the butt spray”. Now, we dread whenever we’re not at home and have to wipe a poopy butt. It really makes a huge difference!

Tushy stands out from other bidet attachments on the market because it comes in multiple color options. Their most popular knob is the bamboo, which we think would look great in any bathroom. They also have platinum (silver), bronze and gold knobs, just to name a few. You will definitely find a Tushy to match your bathroom style. They also come out with limited edition color options if you’re really looking to jazz up the look of your bathroom!
2. Fun & funny extras
Tushy had us smiling and giggling from the second we got the box. We love the potty humor and puns! Our favorite part? Their Spotify playlist! It really made the task of installing Tushy more enjoyable!
3. Sanitary
The Tushy has what’s called a SmartSpray™ nozzle. The SmartSpray™ nozzle is more sanitary compared to some other brands. The spray nozzle automatically retracts between uses. It also rinses itself before and after each use.

Another Tushy feature we like that is missing from other brands is the fact that the nozzle is adjustable. This helps get the perfect angle.

We also like that the water pressure is adjustable. You can opt for a gentle stream (perfect for little ones) or opt for higher pressure.
6. Easy & intuitive to use
Experiencing a bidet for the first time can be intimidating. One of our favorite things about Tushy is that it’s so easy and intuitive to use. The controls are well-labeled. This means that any guest that comes into our house can figure out the Tushy without needing a walk-through beforehand. This isn’t the case for all brands of bidets; it’s definitely not the case for the first bidet we bought. Working a bidet shouldn’t require a lesson beforehand.
7. Requires no electricity or plumbing
Many people are under the impression that installing a bidet is a big feat that requires hiring some type of electrician or plumber. This is not the case with the Tushy Classic 3.0!
8. Easy to install
Tushy claims the Classic 3.0 is an easy install in 8 ½ minutes or less on most standard toilets. We are always skeptical when a company makes claims on how “easy” or “quick” it is to build or install something. It typically takes us way longer…stuff like this isn’t our forte. We are definitely not toilet experts so we decided to time ourselves when installing the Tushy Classic. We surprised ourselves when it only took a little over 10 minutes. So yes, we skewed the average, but not by much. We were shocked how easy it was to install.

9. They stand by their products
Tushy offers a 60 day trial period and a 1 year warranty. If you’re on the fence about whether or not the Tushy is compatible with your toilet (it most likely is), or you’re just not sure if you would like the experience of using a bidet, you can feel confident in buying the Tushy with their generous trial period.

Yes, the Tushy bidet is worth the hype! It has everything you need in a bidet and more! We love everything about our Tushy and think it’s worth every penny! It adds to our quality of life (it’s the little things!). Not only are we saving on toilet paper, we’re doing our part to help save the environment.
How does the Tushy compare to cheaper alternatives? When buying our first bidet, we went the cheap route. The Tushy offers so much more and is an all-around better product. We wish we would have bought the Tushy the first time around.
The Tushy Classic 3.0 will set you back $99. If this is giving you pause, you really have to look at it as an investment. It will pay for itself in what you save on toilet paper. As mentioned above, the Tushy also offers more value than the cheaper bidet toilet seat attachment we tried.
