The Doona is a one-of-a-kind product that has no direct competition. You’re getting an infant car seat and stroller in one. This one-of-a-kind product isn’t cheap though. It comes with a hefty price tag of $550.
We’ll give you all the best tips and tricks for getting the best deal on the Doona.

Yes, you can find the Doona on sale.
However, one important thing to know is that only authorized retailers are allowed to sell the Doona. The Simple Parenting Company (the company behind the Doona) is very strict on when retailers can put their items on sale. This does have some upsides for the consumer. You don’t have to shop around in search of the best deal. If the Doona is on sale at one retailer, you’ll likely find the exact same price at other retailers.
Doona rarely goes on sale and it’s hard to know when the next sale will be.
The 1 time of year we typically see the Doona go on sale is during Black Friday. However, because Doona strictly controls all their pricing, you simply can’t count on the Doona being on sale during Black Friday. You also can’t predict when their next sale will be.
Often times for high-end baby gear products sold at Nordstrom, like Nuna and UPPAbaby, we see these products go on sale during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – but this is not the case for the Doona. We never see the Doona included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sales. (The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale happens in the second half of August.)
Doona is sold at big-box stores (like Buy Buy Baby), but we like to shop small. Here are some great options if you want to shop small for your Doona online:
Both PishPoshBaby & The Tot have loyalty/rewards programs where you can earn points to save money. This is definitely worth checking out if you’re trying to save on the Doona!
Amazon does have an official Doona Store where you can purchase the Doona stroller/car seat.
We should also talk about where not to buy the Doona. In the past Amazon had unofficial sellers of the Doona. We DO NOT recommend buying from any unofficial sources due to recent reports of counterfeit Doonas being sold there. In a test, CNN purchased a Doona car seat sold on Amazon and it failed miserably in a crash test, shattering to hundreds of pieces.
